Rock for Dimes Vancouver 2017

If you weren’t one of the 140 people at the Red Room Ultra Bar, you missed the showdown of the year.

Five local bands – The Fallen Angels, Big Back Yard & Co, The Ringtones, Deeter Dives For Donuts, and No Reply – rocked for an enthusiastic audience and a panel of celebrity judges, all to support March of Dimes Canada.

It was a tough decision but, in the end, Big Back Yard & Co. won the coveted title of Vancouver’s best corporate band.

Altogether, the event raised $10,000, all of which will benefit MODC programs for children and adults with disabilities. The money stays here in Vancouver, supporting Stroke Recovery Canada® and Conductive Education®

This was also the second year in a row that MODC ran its Assistive Mobile Technology Initiative (AMTI) in Vancouver. Fourdeserving recipients will receive a customized tablet loaded with apps chosen to address their specific needs and to help them live more independently.

Our very generous sponsors are: Airgo, Long&McQuade, Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund, Agency 50, 96.9 Jack FM, Global Vancouver, and The Red Room Ultra Bar.
